Peter Henrikson

Peter Henrikson has been designing and constructing timber framed buildings and teaching timber framing at North House Folk School since 1998. While much of his work has been with modern timber framed structures, his interest tends toward the historical designs and construction methods of early North America and Scandinavia. A chance encounter with a thin book on grindbygg timber frames led to many trips to Norway and Sweden to study and teach. After participating in the 2021 Handshouse Notre Dame Truss Project, in 2023 he spent seven months in France working on the Notre Dame de Paris Choir and Apse restoration.
